Artist's Comments

I'm wondering if it should be considered sad that this is the first time I've done any non-fanart all summer... But anyway. Last night I decided to break out the drawing pencils (instead of the good ol' Bic mechanical) and my big sketchbook and do my first portrait in about a year and a half. So yeah... this is my "serious" type work, since I've never posted any of my more real stuff on here.

This is based on a photo I found online last night of the wonderful Michael Gruber as Munkustrap from the Cats DVD which I watch much too often.

Done with Strathmore 4B and 2B pencils.

Oh awesome!!! Lovely rendering, really! It's like a photograph. I wish I were that good at pure pencil sketching!

Its awesome, But technically it IS fanart. :)

Hmm... I should have stated that more clearly in the description. I meant non-illustrative fanart, as in everything else in my gallery.

Woah...it really does look like a photo. You're really, really good, and I know you probably don't need to hear that cause you hear it so often, but you are!
